Acne and scars?

July 31st, 2009

i need some things.

a good scar diminishing treatment for scars about 7 years old. they are sort of deep, and almost a purplish red. i hate them -_-

second, a strong facial wash. iv’e used so many from all of the brands like neutrogena. my acne seems to build immunity in about a week.

i have many problems, oilyness, englarging pores, blackheads, whiteheads, cystic acne, the scars.

im not dirty, i wash my face like three or more times a day.

i don’t eat particularly unhealthy food, infact i’ve ceased to consume sodas completely, and junk for the most part.

i don’t know of anyone else in my family that has or ever had an even acute problem with acne

i used to think “well im gettin older it’ll come and go” but i got my first pimple in like second or third grade. here i am about to graduate highschool!!!

help please!! im tired of the same old face =( it’s too much work!
Acne and scars?
The best thing for scars is a TCA chemical peel. It won’t really help existing acne other than drying your face out for a week, but by removing the top layer of your skin, it will get rid of scars completely and leave you with fresh, baby smooth skin. Usually this is done by a dermatologist for $400-$800 but I just bought some TCA chemical peel solution from online for one tenth of that. (Haven’t tried it yet though!)

Usually acne dimishes as you become an adult, but I am 38 and I STILL get a couple of pimples per month, especially before my period, and my skin is STILL gushingly oily and never stopped! My skin still thinks I’m 16…. You’ll be happy someday you won’t have the fine lines or wrinkles of other people your age but I know from experience when you’re in your 20’s and then your 30’s it’s like “What the h*ll??? Is it EVER going to end??”

Well the good thing is that after having breakouts for what, like 27 years now, I have tried just about EVERYTHING possible on the market and have come up with the following:

The best thing to wash your face with is either Ivory soap or the Neutrogena bars for oily skin. Most everything else is fluff with fancy packaging as a marketing gimmick so they can charge a lot.

Get a prescription for Benzamycin Gel from any doctor. It’s a white gel that is a combo of benzoil peroxide and eurithromycin (antibiotic). Something about the combo of the 2 zaps zits like neither ingredient can do alone.

If you don’t have access to a prescription, use Persa Gel Clean %26amp; Clear 10% Benzoil Peroxide for the next best thing.

Use a STRONG exfoliating scrub DAILY. I don’t care that cosmeticians say use it only twice a week. I have been using a very strong scrub EVERY DAY for 17 YEARS on my face and it’s the best thing for controlling breakouts because it removed all the dead skin just sitting on top waiting to block up your pores! I also don’t have ANY fine lines on my face %26amp; look 10 yrs younger :)

It’s also a myth that if you dry up your skin it will get more oily. WRONG!! If you use some wimpy creamy cleanser that DOESN’T dry it out, it will be more oily. I’ve tried expensive products for MONTHS until I had a face full of pimples %26amp; blackheads, only to always return to my basic Ivory soap and scrub to clear everything up and keep it that way for the most part.

It’s great that you’ve eliminated the junk food %26amp; sodas. Also drink lots of water every day to keep your system flushed clean.

The last thing is the Ortho Trycyclin birth control pill really does work! When I’m on it I don’t break out at all (but trying to get pregnant so am now breaking out again).
Acne and scars?
for scars including old scars you can use Lavender essential oil you can buy this from aromatherapy shop or boots chemist you rub it in neat into your scars twice a day massaging the oil in well . For your other problems you can use tea tree oil as it is anti-bacterial, but if your acne is really bad I would see a doctor. hope this helps
Reply:There are things you can do, depending on the types of scars, raised, ice-pick or depressed fibrotic. But they are not over-the-counter. You should be talking with a dermatologist. There are things such as lasers, dermabrasion, chemical peels

and more.

Acne Scars??

July 31st, 2009

I had a huge pimple on my cheek for about a month. It’s pretty much gone now, but in it’s place is a big red scar. It almost still looks like I have the zit, but it’s flat and has no pus or anything in it. My question is has anyone ever used any of those ance scar fading products that Neutrogena or Clean and Clear, etc. make?? If so, do they work, and how long does it take for the scar to fade? Any other suggestions as to how to get this thing to go away??
Acne Scars??
I have an idea. I also get those zits on my cheek when I get under a lot of stress. With time though, mine go away on thier own. I, myself have not tried the creams but a close friend of mine uses it all the time and it does her justice. Hint: You don’t have to spend a lot for it either…..she gets it at the dollar store. It’s called success fade cream. It usually takes about two weeks to start seeing the blemishes fade, but it might be helpful in the long run.
Acne Scars??
You need to try Bio Oil (www.bio-oil.info). You can get it from most major chemists and it works wonders on scars, making them much less apparent. It can be applied directly to the skin or can be used as a bath oil.

Acne scars/marks..how to lighten them?

July 31st, 2009

I want to know how to lighten, and get rid of, them because i have some from past acne and they’re really ugly! What can i do to help get rid of them?

does acne free fade and erase kit work?

does Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel work?
Acne scars/marks..how to lighten them?
Usually leaving some untidy and ugly marks on the face, acne problems torment many teens as well as older men and women. Don’t wait to become one of them! There are many treatments available, some of which may come as a surprise to you. If you have been wanting to research different treatment options, I believe http://www.skinsosilky.com/acne-skin-car… offers what will work best for you.
Acne scars/marks..how to lighten them?
try peroxide first much cheaper
Reply:you can get vitamin e capsuls really cheap and slice them open and put the liquid on your scars daily. Or cocoa butter.
Reply:The only thing that really works is Vitamin E oil. It’s under $5 and very good for your skin. Apply it twice a day and you’ll notice the scars will begin to fade after a few weeks. It takes some time to get rid of scar, so you to be patient.
Reply:Try Bio-Oil..It works on almost all scars and marks. Good Luck!! xx
Reply:The Proactiv line is the best… try the repairing lotion. Buy it on Ebay instead of the actual Proactiv site.
Reply:Hello, you can best try for organic and chemical free products. I began using them few months ago and not only the spots have gone but the appearance in my skin is healthier and even the pores look smaller. Try this web site: www.magnetsforhealth.co.uk hopefully it works, I have tried typing it and at the moment isn’t working. Good luck!
Reply:Bio oil is amazing, as is Cocoa Butter, but use the solid form and rub it into skin especially before bed as you can wash it off in the morning and use a vitatmin e enriched cream on your face.

or use natural stuff like a 50:50 dilution of cider vinegar used as a toner.

or your own pee i’ve heard… but i wouldn’t try it.

i had a lot of trouble with this when i was younger, but you have to find what your skin responds to best. i did these things and found that what was most effective was eating and resting well, drinking a 2 litre bottle of water a day and taking supplements of vitamin e and zinc.

try them and see whats best.

Reply:The only product that worked for my sister-in-law is the one she found at www.romancing-the-soap.com

It’s completely botanical, organic. If you contact the website owner, who is a medical practitioner, you can find out which one it is. My sister-in-law is very happy with it and she now buys all skin care products from

www.romancing-the-soap.com

Hopefully you’ll find your solution there!
Reply:Directly rub potato slices all over the face and wash after 30 minutes this when done regularly , helps to get rid of acne, blemishes and pimple scar. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
Reply:when i had dark acne marks on my chin;

it was the mild skin lightening soap that has worked well

for me.. until now..

besides clearing the dark patches, it has eventually

brightened my overall skin tone..

remember, not all skin lightening soaps are the same. :-)
Reply:use topical-ascorbic acid. according to several scientific studies they do lighten acne marks. you can also make your own homemade version that works :)

Acne scars???

July 31st, 2009

I broke out a while ago real bad, I don’t know why. I had never broken out before. So this acne lasted for a few months. Most of it has cleared except for some red dots from where the acne used to be. I didn’t pop the acne, i just used some 3 step acne clear up wash product. They aren’t bumpy or nothin’. They’re just there, under my skin. The acne has cleared up for the most part and the red dots are still around- its been about a month and a week or so. what are they? And How do I get rid of them???? Has that ever happened to you?
Acne scars???
The acne marks that are on your skin are post-acne marks. Usually, when you get a breakout, your skin’s pigments get damaged. So basically, once your actual pimples go away, these marks left behind will eventually fade; the time it takes to have them completely go away depends on the person. For some people, these marks go away within days, but for some they can take up to as long as 18months. Yes I know, that’s extremely long. However, there are solutions and creams that you can use to eliminate them such as Advanced Solutions Neutrogena Acne Fading Peel which approximately costs $16. Not all products will work right away and not all products will work. Give your skin time to heal naturally at first and then if that does not work, then treat your marks with a good product.

Also, if you do use acne products be very conserrvative as to how many products you actually use and what types of products. The reason is because the skin can be easily irritated and irritation can lead to more acne and inflammation that will cause your skin to possibly breakout again.

Good luck. =]
Acne scars???
You are going through a very serious problem. You can treat your acne problem by using acnezine. Its very effective on scars and acne.

Reply:try this steps:

1. Leave your pimples alone. Do not pop a pimple or scratch it, this will cause the scars. Instead, leave them alone, and you will reduce scarring to your face.

2. Keep your face clean. Wash your face with a facewash twice a day and apply moisturizer.

3. At night, with warm water, wash your face with a facewash or scrub, then splash with cold water to close your pores.

4.Pour a small amount of tissue oil (try using one with natural ingredients in it) on a piece of cotton wool. (You can also put the tissue oil on your hands, but make sure they are clean.)

5. Apply the tissue oil to your face, applying it equally to each part of your face.Massage it in for 5 minutes, and then leave it until you go to bed.

6. Before getting into bed, take a tissue, and dab your face to remove the oil.

these tips also helps:

é?¾?It is best to apply tissue oil every night, for about two weeks. If your scars are not fading, then apply it until you see a change.

é?¾?If you are applying tissue oil on your face, use a headband to prevent oil from getting into your hair.

é?¾?Tissue oil is not the only thing that removes scars; other creams and moisturisers are available. Use what suits you.

warnings:

é?½?Do not use tissue oil during the day. If you have oil on your face, and go out in the sun, the oil will heat up on your face and possibly cause more scarring.

é?½?If you have oily skin with pimples present, it is recommended that you do not use tissue oil as this will increase the oil composition in your skin, and this could make your pimples worse.

hope it helps! :)
Reply:Maika’s answer is right on!

This has happened to me and the underlying affects of a breakout does fade away with time.
